Why We’re Loving VI Peel

We'll walk you through every step of our medical grade peel and how it clears and renews the skin - we promise it’s not as intimidating as it seems.
What is a peel, and how does it work?
Peels can work wonders for all skin types and tones. The key ingredient in peels is typically a strong exfoliator, like Salicylic Acid, that help your skin shed the top layer of dead and dull skin. The VI peel we offer is a medium depth chemical peel that exfoliates the skin, and helps reveal brighter and healthier skin after just one treatment.
Two different types of VI Peel.
There are two different types of peels, one is great for hyperpigmentation, and the other is great for acne. When deciding if a peel is right for you, you and your provider will talk about your skin, and your specific goals. Let’s dive deeper into the difference:
VI Peel Precision Plus is great for:
- Hyperpigmentation
- Sun damage
- Melasma
VI Peel Purify with Precision Plus is great for:
- Excessively oily skin
- Acne
- Acne Scarring
Let's Breakdown The Steps
Before your peel, you’ll want to avoid retinols, exfoliants, acids (such as glycolic acid), and self tanners in advance. Try to stay out of the sun too and continue to apply (and reapply) daily SPF.
If you have a dinner party that evening, we recommend that you reschedule your appointment, because there is minimal post-treatment downtime (a slight tint to the skin) and you cannot wash it off for 4 hours.
After your appointment you’ll be given thorough at-home instructions and a kit to help you care for your skin post-treatment. We highly encourage prioritizing moisturizer throughout the peeling process to help keep your skin hydrated.
After 3 days, it’s time to peel! - but that doesn’t mean picking and prompting your skin to peel. Let your skin shed on it’s own, and if it’s not peeling, that’s okay too! Everyones' experience is different!
After 1 week, your skin should be peeling less, and appear brighter and healthier.
After 1 month, your skin should be feeling good, and you may be ready for another treatment in a month or so. Keeping a peel as part of your routine can help you reach your best results and get closer to reaching your skin goals.
